Traffic Marshall/Gate Person

Reporting to the Quay Manager and Supervisor. You will assist in the efficiency of vehicular movements and deliveries safely on a busy working quay.

Responsibilities

• To follow health and safety regulations at all times in order to maintain a safe working environment.
• To provide assistance for freight deliveries and customers as required.
• To help improve quay efficiency.
• To direct and manage vehicle movements both on and off the quay.
• To keep traffic areas free of pedestrians.
• To complete ongoing job related training as required.
• To carry out other duties and assist colleagues as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold basic computer skills.
• Have experience of working in a busy environment.
• Be confident in using radio communications.
• Be able to work in a busy team.
• Have excellent communication skills.
