Warehouse operative

We are seeking a Warehouse Operative for our new warehouse in Hayle. Reporting to the Freight & Commercial Manager, you will be involved with the unloading of freight from incoming vehicles and loading outgoing items with a Forklift Truck. This will also involve the manual sorting of parcels, building of pallets, and loading of containers with small items. You will need to communicate with the quay staff in Penzance, both by phone and electronically, which is the destination of the goods to be loaded on our vessels for delivery to Scilly.

Skills and Experience

• Forklift truck driving experience will be an advantage
• Ability to work as part of a small team
• Basic IT skills
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude

Hours

• Average day will start at 07:30 -16.30.
• Occasional hours outside of the regular working day might be required.
