Be among the first to sail on Scillonian IV as 2027 tickets go on sale

A new chapter in travel to the Isles of Scilly begins today as tickets for the inaugural season of Scillonian IV go on sale for the first time.

From today, customers can secure their place on board the new passenger ferry, becoming some of the first people to experience a new generation of sea travel when Scillonian IV enters service in March 2027.

Replacing the much-loved Scillonian III after almost five decades of service, Scillonian IV represents one of the biggest investments in the future of the Isles of Scilly’s transport links. Combining modern comfort with the timeless experience of crossing the Atlantic to the islands, the new vessel has been purpose-built for the route between Penzance and St Mary’s.

Whether you’re planning a long-awaited island holiday, returning to visit friends and family, or making the journey for the first time, 2027 offers the opportunity to be part of history.

Stuart Reid, Chief Executive of the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group, said: “This is a milestone moment. For the first time, people can book their place aboard Scillonian IV and be among the very first passengers to sail on our brand-new flagship.

“Scillonian III has created treasured memories for generations, and while we will always celebrate her remarkable legacy, we’re incredibly excited about what comes next. Scillonian IV has been designed to deliver a more comfortable, more accessible and more resilient service, while preserving everything people love about travelling to the Isles of Scilly by sea.

“The journey has always been part of the adventure, and we can’t wait to welcome passengers aboard as this exciting new era begins.”

Designed specifically for the unique waters between Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Scillonian IV will offer spacious lounges, improved accessibility, enhanced passenger facilities and generous outdoor deck space, giving travellers the chance to soak up the breathtaking coastline and enjoy the wildlife encounters that have made the route famous.

With significant interest expected in the inaugural season, customers are encouraged to book early to guarantee their preferred sailing and be part of this once-in-a-generation moment.
