Follow Menawethan

Menawethan’s journey to Penzance marks an exciting new chapter. Having departed the shipyard in Vietnam, our purpose-built freight vessel is now on her delivery voyage on a carefully planned 72-day route (excluding scheduled stops and weather permitting). Travelling via the Cape of Good Hope, with key stops along the route, this journey represents the final step in years of design, craftsmanship and collaboration to create a vessel tailored to the unique needs of the Isles of Scilly.

After a two-month journey from Vietnam, Menawethan arrived in Penzance just before 8am.

Menawethan has reached France, her final scheduled stop before arriving in Penzance. She will spend approximately two weeks at Piriou’s Shipyard undergoing final inspections, commissioning checks and sign-off procedures.

Menawethan arrived in Mindelo at 09:26 she remained alongside for 8 hours.

Menawethan arrived in Walvis Bay at 14:15 she remained alongside for 24 hours to load fuel, water and provisions.

Menawethan arrived in Port Louis after 455 hours of continuous sailing, maintaining an average speed of 9.3 knots.

Crewed by a team of six Menawethan has departed the shipyard in Vietnam and started her journey to Penzance.
